Abdullah Shakar was born near the Tigris River(Amed)in Anatolia.He began to play Oud and Saz when he was 9 years old. He studied Oud and Anatolian music theory with Neset Gocmen, also he listened to and played Kurdish, Armenian, Persian musics for many years. He began to play bass guitar in 1999. Abdullah studied jazz fundamental & bass lines, with Istanbul Bilgi University's bass teacher composer Raci Pişmişoğlu and he studied harmony with Alp Ersonmez. He pursued his interest in falmenco music studying and playing with the flamenco dancer/teacher Melek Yel.

Abdullah has played with various musicians at many festivals in Turkey and other countries, including: Ost festival (Austria), Kozseg festival (Hungary), World music festival (Netherlands), Berlin's Carnival of Culture (Germany), 2008 European Football Championship the opening concert (Vienna), Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival (Turkey), Diyarbakir Cultural and Art Festival (Turkey), Hamshen Cultur Festival (Armenia), New Year Concerts Dubai & Abu Dhabi (UAE).
