Sercan Halili was born in Istanbul in 1986. He completed three-stringed, four-stringed and Alto Classical Kemece training at the Turkish Music State Conservatory, Istanbul Technical University in 2000. In 2011 he received his masters degree from the Turkish Music Conservatory, Halic University.
Halili has performed as a soloist with the Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Mersin State Opera and Ballet, Cukurova State Symphony Orchestra, and the Istanbul Technical University Chamber Orchestra. From 2008 until 2012 Halili performed as a Classical Kemence artist in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra Turkish Music Company.
Halili has shared stage and performances with many valuable masters. He has joined various musical groups in World Music festivals and Jazz festivals, in countries such as Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Hong Kong, Egypt, Germany, France, Georgia, and Switzerland. In 2008 he took part in an album project called "Sufi/Bach" in Switzerland.
He made his first solo album "Hotel Istanbul" in 2010. In addition to participating in many album preparations and television soundtracks, he continues his studio, concert, and stage performances together with his academic studies. He works as a lecturer of Classical Kemence at the Halic University Conservatory.
