“ I thoroughly enjoyed [the group lessons] on so many levels. The adult group format is great as we all come to it with different perspectives and different levels of playing. The questions & topics raised by everyone and the conversations that ensued were varied, I found them all very interesting & motivating.”
Group Harp Classes in March/April 2026
Move your skills forward with technical foundations to help shape your hands and make you feel even more confident on the strings.
Once warmed up, we’ll have a sharing circle Open Lesson. Kind of like a masterclass, but without the hype. I look forward to holding a space for query and discussion, sharing my 40+ years of harp experience to help you master your musical challenges.
There will be two group classes each Monday evening in January:
6:30-7:15 pm - Harp Circle Warm-Up.
Learn the fundamentals of harp technique with expert guidance in a fun, musical, ensemble experience. All harps, all levels welcome.
Staying fit on the harp is important. It makes everything else so much easier, and it helps you to progress. In this session, we’ll work through techniques of the harp in a way that feels and sounds good. Warm up while having fun. Play at your own level as part of a group. Ask questions and receive guidance on your body and hand positions. Learn tips on how to make playing easier.
7:30-8:30 pm - Open Lesson
A nurturing and safe place to share your harp journey among friends. Many local harp players learn online or alone; it can help to check in with a live teacher to answer questions. All styles, all levels welcome.
Bring along a piece that you’re working on and receive guidance. This might be a notated piece that you can never quite get through without stumbling, or it might be something you’re learning by ear, and perhaps you can’t figure out how to play a certain section. Sharing doesn’t have to be perfect at all. In fact, it’s better if it isn’t perfect so that we have something to work with :). This class is a great opportunity to practice playing something you aspire to play confidently. Listening to others work through challenges and joining in discussions is a great way to boost your musical learning.
“It was a good way to be exposed to many ideas due to the different things people are working on, not just oneself... [I was] surprised to find my newly ‘activated’ fingers have continued during the week, resulting in stronger playing.”

“I could see the effects of the class transfer through into my sound healing session and over into my own music teaching. And, I’m now able to play that difficult passage I was having trouble with. ”
