LUMINARA HARP FESTIVAL 2026 brings together an immersive two days of harp inspiration and knowledge sharing, for the first time in Cairns. The intention behind this festival is to bring an infusion of brilliance into the Far North music scene, not simply as a performance, but through a more intimate process of collaboration, mentoring, sharing and experiencing.
Luminara opens with a collaborative performance between three leading cross-genre harpists who, each in their own way, push the art of the harp into new levels of possibility. This will be no ordinary music concert.
Featured guest artist Katia Mestrovic from Melbourne has been making waves nationally and overseas as a finalist in international harp competitions. We are excited to assist her preparations for her next European appearance at the World Harp Congress, where Katia will play music by Australian Composers.
The concert includes the premiere of a harp trio arrangement of ‘Fire Tree’, a piece based on a plant from the Cairns Botanic Gardens, originally composed by Mann and newly arranged by Mestrovic.
Audiences will hear compositions from each of the three harpists.
Loni Fitzpatrick’s harp, electronics and voice are addictively awesome to experience live.
Natalia Mann’s music transmits frequencies of earth and light resonance.
Don’t miss the Luminara Concert.
